Goa had a huge mining operations for several decades where the water used for the mines were diverted from nearby streams and the excess was channeled back. The Locals believe that once the mining had been disrupted, the cycle has been broken. Water isn't sufficient to keep the waterfall alive throughout the year. 


Harvalem waterfall also known as Arvalem waterfall has some mesmerizing views covering a height of 50m and an average width of 7m. It is the second most famous waterfall in Goa. 

The falls are located in Sanquelim, North Goa. It has been reviewed as one of the world’s most notable and blissful waterfalls there ever is. You can find a great view of the precise nature of the falls.

BEST TIME TO VISIT HARVALEM WATERFALL: 

It depends on you whether you prefer to visit Harvalem Waterfall in good weather or during the monsoon season. However, the recommended time would be in the rainy season because visiting such a place is the best time. Moreover, the water flow is heavier than usual, which makes the fall more mesmerising and exciting. You can visit in the sunny season too if you want. It will be a great experience no matter what time of season you choose.

The fall is open every day of the week with an opening time of 9:00 am and closing time of 6:00 pm.
