The majestic Hawa mahal is a must visit attraction in Jaipur. This place is one of the best places to visit as it  gives you one of the most authentic experiences that give out the traditional beauty of India. 

The Hawa Mahal is over 200 years old. One of the most exciting things about these monuments is all you see  are windows. Built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh , the ruler of Kacchhwaha Rajput. This is a fusion of Islamic, Mughal and Rajput architectural style. The best time to visit Hawa Mahal is during sunrise and the sunset as the golden as the golden rays light up the red and pink sandstone building which is spectacular to view.

                             


SOME INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT HAWA MAHAL

•This palace was a summer retreat for the Rajput families during olden times as there is excellent cross ventilation of air. This is due to the prevalence of 953 windows in the building.

• Built for the royal ladies of Rajputs, the women would see the life of common people through the windows.

• The facade is designed in a honeycomb structure. This is for the royal ladies to watch the daily buzz of the city while the people can't.

• The mahal has no front entrance. One has to enter the Mahal through side entrance. 

• There are no stairs to reach the top floor. Instead ramps were used. 

TIMINGS AND TICKETS:

The Mahal is open everyday for the public to access. Timings are 9:30 am - 4:30 am (all day). The entry fee of the monument is also not very expensive. The entry fee collected per person for Indian citizens is Rs 50 and for foreign citizens it's Rs 200.

Timings : 7:00 a.m - 7:30 p.m. Shree Shantadurga Kunkalikarin Temple is located at Fatorpa of Quepem Taluka and is one of the oldest temples of Goa. It is also one of the prime places to visit in Goa.This temple is dedicated to Goddess Shree Shantadurga. Originally from Cuncolim village the Goddess was removed to Fatorpa in 16th century during the religious persecution by the Portuguese.
